In other news, I've landed myself a job...oddly enough, long after I gave up looking for one. I got a call on Monday from an architect I had contacted weeks ago, who had just gotten back from vacation. We met Tuesday for an interview, and he asked me back today to talk details. I'm hired, and will be showing up Monday for my first day. Yay. They are a great firm, doing a mix of stuff...everything from the Steppenwolfe theater in Chicago, to a small residential development in LaPorte County (IN), to a house for a couple of millionaires in London (They happen to want TVs everywhere...even in the bathroom. I figure, just pocket the money, draw them in, and don't ask why :) ) It's a small firm (just 6 ppl), and they're all really friendly...so I'm looking forward to it.
Also, I got back from the Midwest Renewable Energy Association's annual fair last weekend. It was amazing. One of the most inspiring parts of my summer yet. Thousands of people working to change the world, one by one. Also, if you haven't seen An Inconvenient Truth...go see it. NOW. Forget politics...Forget Al Gore's dismal public speaking record. This is one of the most compelling and frightening movies I've seen in a long time. And once you've seen it, do something. Visit the climate crisis website, and talk to me, or look online, to find out what you can do. According to the experts, we have at most 10 years to significantly reduce (by 60-80%) our fossil fuel use before causing irreversible damage to our planet. It's served us well for the past couple billion years...Let's try not to destroy it in the next 10.
Ok, end sermon.:)

| So, Neil has convinced me to get back to blogging...
So much to talk about, and so little time to write about it. That's life as an archy, i guess.
But I choose to make it that way... I could take easier classes, spend less time on my projects, spend less time with friends, sign up for less extracurricular stuff, or spend less time in meetings to figure out what on earth I'm going to do with my life...
There's so much in my brain that I could pour out on paper (on screen?) that I don't know where to start. That's what happens when I don't update this thing regularly, I guess.
Today has been a wonderful day: went to walking which I would hate b/c it's so boring except that I enjoy talking to Aubria (a girl who walks at the same pace as me so we can actually have conversations) and I don't mind actually using my body occasionally. I miss dancing or doing something fun that involves motion (walking does not = fun)
more later...this computer is being taken away
